It feels so good to return to the Greco-Roman gods (apologies, Sadie and
Carter—you’re great too, I just wanted to
interweave your series with this one). The third-person narration loses a touch of its personality,
but the multiple perspectives make up for it. This is a very enjoyable book overall… yet I confess I
spent the entire time anticipating the next one, for obvious reasons. Nevertheless, it has its own
memorable and poignant moments, like the destruction of Festus and how Mr. McLean reacts to being
rescued by Piper.
