I Kill Giants by Joe Kelly & J.M. Ken Niimura
Might contain spoilers.
It isn’t quite the story I remembered, but it’s very good. The art style is effective, if a bit hard to follow sometimes. In particular, it renders Barbara’s mother’s room with aplomb as a monster’s lair.
It’s painful when Sophia temporarily shuns Barbara. Ms. Molle is one of the good ones, and Karen really struggles.
I enjoyed the look behind the scenes at the end of this ‘Titan Edition’. It’s a fascinating glimpse into an amusing working relationship: the writer gushes about the artist, the artist has little to say, and the little strips[1] are confusing in their perspective but good fun to read. It’s unclear which part comes from whom.
- Those ‘rabbit pellets’ are gross, though.↩
