Not what I expected, much like 2012’s Brave. It had a fun story and some moving moments, such as the ending. It was filled with refreshingly casual progressiveness, like a woman inventing the lightbulb and a queer police officer.
I’ve had rather an overdose of Chris Pratt in the last seven years, though. And, on the subject of flaws, it is still unclear to me how the police ended up on the other side of a drawbridge that our heroes had had so much difficulty crossing.
All in all, it wasn’t an unenjoyable film or a bad one, but neither was it particularly good or memorable.
