Ride Your Wave

This was… a little strange. A little sweet. Heartfelt. Very well animated (I don’t like omelettes, but the ones being cooked onscreen look and sound delicious). Infused with love for the water and for the sea—you can practically smell the ocean and feel the spray on your face.
The character designs are odd. Not bad, just, like the movie, a little strange.
The resolution is, again, a little strange. The last-minute pairing of Yoko and Wasabi doesn’t make much sense, but her confession of love is hilarious.
I don’t think the song at the center is strong or good enough to build the story around.
